For me, this book is probably an Eagle as I have a certain love for Philosophy and find great fulfillment in Personal Growth. Yet, I can imagine a greater audience might not see everything I do in this book. This book can represent a huge challenge and at the same time profound introspection.
De Mello was a Jesuit Priest, and this book is sort of an assembly of his writings. For book standards – not the greatest. For content – a book I really enjoyed. At the same time, this is a very deep book. It absolutely shines light on of how to be more in the moment, pursue joy, and reduce anxiety. At the same time, this is not your 1, 2, 3 type formula. So no easy answers here, just great wisdom embedded in the ink.
What caught my eye: I’m an ass, you’re an ass, so where’s the problem (Any time an author writes words I can imagine coming out of my mouth – it makes me smile!).
