Those of you familiar with the Blog Summaries that I pass on, have see Ben Carlson’s many investment thoughts throughout my recaps, as I am an avid reader of his. This book also oozes true investment wisdom. Frankly, I might suggest this book would be better titled – Uncommon Sense!
I love the breadth of knowledge shared in this book, it is quite awesome. I like the honesty of such a book, that if the truths were told about investing being overall an upward trend with fluctuations in between – people/investors would really spend more time on what is most important to them, and less time worrying about the stock market! I believe this book is a strong step in that direction.
This book only falls short in its reference to investor behavior, and then in the same generalization, seems to represent anyone can not only build a plan, but stay on plan without assistance through it all. A little more nod to a trusted advisor would have made this a for sure – hole in one!
What caught my eye: In reality, it is our emotions that are rigged against us, not the markets!
