Again – in disclosure, I attend Willow Creek where Bill is the Senior Pastor, so I am well read in most of Bill’s books – and as one can guess, I like pretty much everything he pens.
For me, this book was a surprise, and in that a pleasant one. There are often books that regurgitate lessons, time after time, with no real application, or results noted. This book is better version of all of those. Further, I love how it is written in a simple few pages approach for each Proverb! Doesn’t hurt for me, that Proverbs is also my favorite book in the bible!
Bill is a great leader, his experience crosses over very well to the private sector, and his real life successes and failures are plentiful in this writing.
What caught my eye: I like knowing that we could ride out a rough patch or two because we followed the example of the ant in Proverbs 6:6 and stored up a reasonable amount of reserves.
